La Dame Aux Zèbres
Artiste Peintre
Zebra-inspired sculptures: An attempt to translate the materiality of the zebra in two dimensions, a work on the equivalence between the zebra and its more abstract translation.
The stripe escapes from the painting, like the ribbon in 'Rupture'.
This ribbon, a coquettish adornment, makes life more beautiful, but is also geometry interlaced with nature, wind, fabric – representing breath, the creative inspiration with which the artist infuses her objects, bringing them back to life. The zebra is, then, a kind of guide, leading us towards this universal aspiration to be rather than to have.
